Community Groups

We love our community groups who are doing important work to support LGBTQ+ people. We believe businesses and community groups should partner to create meaningful change and sustained impact.

Here are some community groups that you and your organisation can connect with.

Do donate your time, talent and treasure to help.

IndigNation

IndigNation envisions a world in which every LGBTQ person can live the fullest life of their imagination, form and access multiple queer and allied communities which acknowledge and collaborate with each other.

IndigNation’s mission is to activate the queer imagination, to bring together Singapore’s diverse queer communities together in real space to exchange ideas, share knowledge and cultivate compassion for each other. Through this, progressive queer discourse can be articulated to enable progressive action.

INTER-UNIVERSITY LGBT NETWORK

Inter-University LGBT Network is a network for organisations in Singapore universities to collaborate in fostering safer and more inclusive school communities for everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

Oogachaga

Oogachaga is a community-based, non-profit, professional organisation working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, couples and families in Singapore since 1999.

Pink dot sg

Pink Dot Sg is a non-profit movement started by a group of individuals who care deeply about the place that LGBTQ Singaporeans call home. It is a group for everyone, straight and gay, who support the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to love. With openness and acceptance, we hope to bring LGBTQ Singaporeans closer to their family and friends.

prout

Prout is a social and support platform that champions meaningful connections within the LGBTQ+ community and also regularly organises events such as Queer Trivia Night SG and the award-winning “Meet Your Next” series. Prout also founded the first Asian LGBTQ+ news and event updates Telegram channel, Qurrent, and Prout Hearts, the first LGBTQ+ volunteering initiative for Singapore.

Sayoni

Sayoni is a Singapore-based feminist, volunteer-run organisation that works to uphold human rights protections for queer women, including lesbian, bisexual and transgender women. We organise and advocate for equality in well-being and dignity regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity/expression and sex characteristics.

The t project

Founded in 2014, The T Project is the first trans-led social service for the transgender community in Singapore.

The T Project shelter provides a safe haven for the homeless transgender community while they seek employment, healthcare, and more permanent accommodations.

The Alicia Community Centre provides trans-focused services and information to the transgender community and the public, including peer counselling for transgender individuals, and workshops and events that are open to the public.

Transbefrienders

Recognising the lack of peer support for transgender youths in Singapore, Transbefrienders was started in 2019, by a group of volunteers from various backgrounds who have experienced transitioning in Singapore. Through our befriending and education programmes, we strive to encourage, uplift and empower the transgender community in Singapore to enable them to gain confidence in contributing positively to society.

TransGENDERSG

TransgenderSG pools together the collective knowledge and experiences of the transgender community to help each other navigate life in Singapore. We aim to increase access to choices for transition, and provide resources for individuals across life-stages and situations.
